The original highly durable and dressable, easy to terminate and install fire resistant cable, using the unique Insudite damage resistant insulation system. Approved for fire detection and fire alarm critical signal paths to BS5839-1:2002+A2:2008 and voice alarm systems to BS5839-8:2008 in ‘standard’ application areas, and emergency lighting systems to BS5266-1:2005. The changes to cable test methods and requirements first introduced by BS5839-1:2002+A2:2008 “Fire detection and fire alarm systems for buildings – Part 1: Code of practice for system design, installation, commissioning and maintenance” mean that fire resistant cables must now be approved against new test requirements. In addition to approvals to BS7629-1 and BS6387 Category CWZ, FP200 Gold® has received BASEC and LPCB approval to BS5839-1:2002 for ‘standard’ applications. This includes approval to BS EN 50200 Class PH30 and the new integrated fire, shock and water test BS8434-1 for 30 minutes.
